With the generous support of area businesses, the Chili Open Golf Classic, organized by the Rotary Club of Strongsville, has raised more than $1 million for charity since 1992. The all-volunteer event has become a February tradition in Northeastern Ohio, drawing nearly 1,000 golfers who tee off into blasts of frigid air, putt across frosty greens and warm up in a hall full of hot food – including Wendy’s chili - and sizzling activities, like the action-packed celebrity auction.
