With the help of sponsors like B’laster Chemical Companies, the 2007 event raised almost $110,000.00 Proceeds helped to support 12 area charities as well as local and international Rotary projects, like Polio Plus, a program that has nearly obliterated polio around the world. Locally, proceeds have helped to build Safety Town and Pat Catan Stadium and have been used toward thousands of dollars in high school scholarships.
Almost 50 charity beneficiaries over 17 years have included such organizations as the American Red Cross, the Jones Home, Boy Scouts of America, the Easter Seal Society, JD Breast Cancer Foundation, Ohio Boys Town, Ronald McDonald House, several hospice centers, the Singing Angels and the Salvation Army. |
